Whole System Innovation using Appreciative Inquiry
Changing a system holistically can be challenging and complex.
Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is a positive system change methodology that enables contribution and engagement in change from the broad range of stakeholder groups within a system.
By focusing on past successes and learning from them, a compelling, collective picture of possibilities for the future are created; pathways are then designed to move the system towards that positive future state and commitments made to put into action what is needed to begin that movement.
This article provides a case study of how AI was used to enable Geelong Grammar School in its journey to become a Positive Institution.
