Sometimes you need another mind in the room
People usually come to me because something has shifted.
The role has become bigger. A decision carries more weight. Something that should be working isn’t. Or the way they have always approached things no longer feels enough for what is in front of them.
Sometimes they know exactly what the issue is.
Sometimes my first job is helping work out what the real issue actually is.

When I might be useful
I work with senior leaders, founders, principals and boards when they are navigating something that deserves careful thought.
It might be a decision with consequences.
A transition in role, identity or responsibility.
A relationship or dynamic that is getting in the way.
A recurring problem that hasn’t responded to the usual solutions.
Or simply the sense that something important is going on and you need to understand it before deciding what to do.
Often, my role is to help you see something you are too close to see, question the way a problem has been framed, or think through what you already know but haven’t yet been able to name.
What the work looks like
The work depends on what you are navigating.
Sometimes a single conversation is enough to change the way you see something.
Sometimes we work together over a period of time as a decision, transition or leadership challenge unfolds.
And sometimes I work with more than one person around the same issue — a founder and board, for example, or members of a senior leadership team.
I don’t have a standard program that I put people through.
We work out what would actually be useful.
What it’s like to work with me
I’ll ask questions.
I’ll listen carefully to what you tell me and pay attention to what doesn’t quite fit.
I’ll challenge assumptions when I think they need challenging.
And I’ll tell you what I see.
I bring decades of research and practice in psychology, leadership, accountability and human systems. I also know that you understand your world in ways I never can.
The useful work happens when we bring those two things together.
Is this the right work?
You don’t need to have everything worked out before getting in touch.
In fact, figuring out what is really going on may be part of the work.
If you’re navigating something that matters and think another perspective might help, tell me a little about what’s going on.
